The Carindale Writers’ Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at Holland Park Library.

The Inkstained Groupies, known as The Inkies, started life as an RWA Crit group and has been in operation since 2003.

The Writing Room – the Ashgrove writers group meets on alternate Thursdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the Ashgrove Library.

Write Links is a writing group specifically for picture book, junior fiction, YA writers and for illustrators of these books. The group meets on the first Saturday of each month, at the State Library at Southbank.

Centenary Writers (Kenmore) has room for a few extra members. They meet at the Kenmore Library, every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

The Arana Writers’ Group meets at the Arana Hills Library on the first Wednesday of each month from10.00 am to 12 noon.

The Sandgate Writers’ Group’s meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday evening from 6.45 – 9.30 pm at the Sandgate Community Centre, 153 Rainbow St, Sandgate and are open to writers over the age of sixteen and of all literary experience.  Contact Ray Clarke.

The Caboolture Writers’ Link Group meets in the Library Meeting Room at the Caboolture Central Library in The Hub at 9:20 am for 9:30 am on the first Tuesday of every month. https://caboolturewriterslink.com/

The Pomona Writers’ Group meets each Tuesday morning at Pomona Community House in Watson Shed at the back of Community House next to the railway line.

Geebung Writers’ Group meets 2^nd Wednesday of the month at the Geebung RSL. 9.30 to 11.30 am.

Strathpine Day Writing Group   This writing group meets on the third Tuesday of the month in Strathpine.

Strathpine Writers Group meets in the evening at the Strathpine library on the second Tuesday of each month from 6.30pm to 8pm

Logan City Writers can be found online (Facebook group) and meet every Saturday morning at The Village Cafe (inside the Beenleigh Historical Village) Main Street Beenleigh.

The North Lakes Writers’ Group meets on the third Thursday every month except December. Meeting location is Event Room, Level 1, North Lakes Library, The Corso, North Lakes.

Samford Writers’ Group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 10-12.

Redcliffe Peninsula Poets meet at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre in the Winton Room the first Tuesday in the month in the evening at 7 o’clock.

The Bundaberg Writers’ Club Inc  runs WriteFest, its annual writers’ festival. The group meets on the third Saturday of every month at 9am in the U3A building, 80A Woongarra Street, Bundaberg.

Nightwriters Writing Group meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the Mt Ommaney library from 6.00pm to  8.00pm.

Vision Writers was founded by Marianne dePierres and Rowena Cory Daniells in 1996, Vision Writers Group is Brisbane’s oldest speculative fiction writers group. The Writers Rendezvous is a writer’s group in Dayboro which meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7.00 pm at Council Building, 28 Williams St, Dayboro.

Society of Women Writers Qld. Inc. has a general meeting of members within the Brisbane area every second Tuesday of the month in the Community Meeting Room, Ground floor of the City Library, cnr George and Adelaide Streets. The cost of membership is $30 per year and attendance is $3 per meeting.

Redcliffe Writers Group meets at the Redcliffe Library, Oxley Avenue, Redcliffe on the fourth Friday of the month except December. The meeting runs from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Visitors, guests, and members are asked to arrive between 1.30 pm and 2.00 pm for networking and chatting so the Meeting can start promptly at 2.00 pm

Writing With A Vision is a creative writing group for vision-impaired writers.  Meetings are held on the first Friday of every month, except January, from 11:30am to 2:00pm at the Brisbane Square Library, 266 George Street, Brisbane, in the Community Meeting Room, located between the two escalators on the Ground Floor. Membership to the group is always open. There is an annual membership fee of $15.

Springfield Writers Group meets monthly at Bookface Orion on the third Saturday of each month. Established and emerging writers are welcome.

Communify Writers Group meets on Tuesdays at The Exchange in Kelvin Grove

Brisbane Writers Group meet-up – online meetings for Brisbane writers.
